When I first registered this domain, I was going to create a website that tracks the time and tax dollars that President Trump through with his favorite pastime: mainly renting rooms to his security detail when he visits his own golf resorts. Plenty of other people are doing that though - mainly professional journalists at major news outlets.
So then I thought, what about a Project 2025 tracker? Turns out there are plenty of those too.
So I shelved the idea for the longest time.
Then in early October 2026, with the price of gas and diesel going up and up and up I remembered that Trump promised to halve the cost of energy, gas included. So I went online to find a list of his 2024 campaign promises and was somewhat surprised to find that the major news outlets, the ones that were compiling the original lists of his promises, have taken down those pages. Everywhere I looked I got a "404 Page Not Found".
Trumpsgolfcard.com immediately turned into a metaphor: this would become a site that lists and examines the promises that President Trump made to the American people on the campaign trail. Every article on the site is meticulously researched and provides a list of the sources used as evidence. This task was made significantly more difficult as I kept encountering pages that a) were still indexed in search engines but b) had been taken down by the site owner. This meant resorting to the WayBackMachine and other internet archive sites.
Once complete, the site will feature over 80 short but carefully researched articles relating the pledges and the promises made during the 2024 campaign, along with a simple rating that indicates whether it has been kept, it's stalled or it's been broken.
This is my answer to those news outlets that took their Trump campaign pledge lists down.
